About the Opportunity
We are seeking a professional individual for the role of Sales & Service Representative who is ideally based in the Winnipeg area. Consideration will also be given to applicants that live in the Regina area. This individual will be responsible for selling Metcon’s Process Control and Instrumentation products in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The industries you will serve include the mining, food & beverage, power generation and environmental (water & wastewater) industries. You will also spend about 15% of your time performing set-up and minor servicing of equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a road warrior who truly enjoys working from a home office and selling on the road. Outside sales experience selling technical products to the above mentioned industries is essential. Experience selling to contractors is also required, as are outstanding communication and negotiating skills necessary to bring in the sale.
Due to the nature of the role, you can expect to travel within Manitoba and Saskatchewan a significant amount of time. This will include one-day trips and week-long sales trips.

About You
The preferred applicants would have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Possess an independent and entrepreneurial spirit;
- Background in Water/Wastewater Treatment, Instrumentation & Control and/or Chemical Feed;
- A degree or diploma in a relevant technical field;
- 2 years sales experience in a technical field;
- Experience doing presentations and product demonstrations;
- Experience delivering presentations to groups as large as 10 people;
- Capable of reading and understanding process and P&ID drawings;
- Experience selling to contractors, consulting engineers and end users;
- Valid driver’s list;
- Ability to travel overnight throughout Manitoba & Saskatchewan.
