Hydrogen Peroxide Applications: Water & Waste Water Treatment, Boiler Applications
Disinfection using hydrogen peroxide is finding a place in many treatment processes. It has strong oxidation and biocidal efficiency principles. It's oxidation potential is greater than chlorine, chlorine dioxide and potassium permanganate. This makes it a good choice for disinfection and is often used in advanced oxidation processes in combination with ozone or ultraviolet disinfection. It is also being widely used as a oxidizer where trihalomethanes (THM's) are a concern. There are some design concerns with hydrogen peroxide:
Efficiency is dependant on pH, temperature, concentration and reaction time
Chemical degradation with higher storage room temperatures
Metcon Solution Metcon can provide a complete metering and control solution for hydrogen peroxide feed.
