Technical Posistion • Inside Sales Representative

Based in Concord, Ontario, Metcon Sales & Engineering Ltd. is widely regarded as an industry leader in water & wastewater treatment equipment supply.  A key to our success is our technical Inside Sales group and we are currently seeking a goal oriented, success driven individual to be a part of the team.

Position Concept:

The Inside Sales representative sells to new and existing customers in an assigned geographic territory.  They are a vital member of our sales team and their performance is crucial to the generation of leads, quotes & orders. By linking an Outside and Inside Sales team member, we are able to fulfill the requirements of our clients (consulting engineers, plant operation staff, procurement agents, and contractors.) Our Inside Sales representatives use the phone, email and the internet to sell Metcon’s products and services.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Implement sales strategies and call prioritization to achieve revenue and meet targets
  • Initiate sales calls to new and existing customers within assigned territories
  • Maximize each telephone contact through consistent use of working with Outside Sales Rep.
  • Manage multiple tasks in a proactive and efficient manner
  • Use technology to manage territory, sales and time
  • Work with electrical, mechanical and general contractors
  • Work with municipal water and waste water operators
  • Provide knowledge and solutions for consulting engineers who are designing projects
  • Be conversant on the features, advantages and value of our products and services

Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • Electrical and or  Mechanical Background
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills
  • Demonstrate sales aptitude, assertiveness, persistence, good listening skills, and self motivation
  • Able to work independently as well as with in a team
  • Post-secondary education /Electrical/Mechanical/Enviornmental Studies
  • Well organized with effective time and activity management skills
  • Mature and self confident with the ability to work under pressure
  • Computer literacy knowledge - MS Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Internet
  • Ability to prioritize work, with attention to detail

Technical Service Representative

Based in Concord, Ontario, Metcon Sales & Engineering Ltd. is widely regarded as an industry leader in water & wastewater treatment equipment supply. We are currently seeking a university or college graduate with a technical background, that possess the following qualifications.

  • Instrumentation and (or) electrical background
  • Good technical skills with the ability to follow schematics
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Good communication skills

Requirements:

  • Work in the field performing start-ups on Metcon supplied equipment
  • Work with clients in the field, city water & wastewater operators
  • Work with electrical, mechanical, and general contractors
  • Travel in Ontario is required

Location: Concord office
